SYNOPSIS

[EN] In 1975 Côte d'Ivoire, a young boy named Amon cares for his illiterate grandmother, Clarice, who is his only guardian. Amon helps her respond to letters, fostering a deep bond between them. When he receives a letter revealing Clarice's failing health, Amon faces a heart-wrenching choice: to protect her from the painful truth or to share the reality of her condition. Ultimately, he decides to keep the secret, grappling with the heavy implications of his decision. As he navigates this moral dilemma, Amon learns about the complexities of love and sacrifice, exploring whether shielding Clarice from sorrow is truly an act of kindness or a silent betrayal.
