SYNOPSIS

[EN] The Krampus bells are calling: every winter, the male inhabitants of an Austrian village in the Alps transform into hairy, noisy, drunken devils, terrorising women and children and blurring the line between monstrousness and masculinity. This sensory documentary follows one group throughout the night’s exploits, from the adrenaline-fuelled peaks of exhilaration to the crashes of exhaustion, from belligerence to boredom and chaos to catharsis.
