[EN] Synopsis. What does a chunk of tantalum – commonly known as coltan and mined in eastern Congo – has to do with cows, Greek mythology, children, filmmaking, e-waste, space colonization and the future? Tantalum follows the trajectory of a tiny piece of tantalum: from the Congolese mine to military equipment, a Ghanian dumpsite, and finally to outer space. An everyday story as a sharp contemporary political and economic critique on a planetary scale.
