SYNOPSIS

[EN] Short: After an accident that left her mostly deaf, Rue moves to a remote village with her parents. Feeling isolated from her family and overwhelmed by her new life, she befriends a group of girls who convince her to go ahead with an act of cruelty in order to belong. Long: After a car accident that left her mostly deaf, teenager Rue moves to a remote village with her parents; though they mean well, their efforts to cheer Rue up and get through to her are in vain. Feeling isolated from her family, overwhelmed by her new life and haunted by dark thoughts from the trauma, Rue then befriends a group of girls who convince her to go ahead with an act of cruelty to another girl, an outsider, in order to belong.
