[EN] In present-day Beijing, a woman finds herself alone at the counter of a trendy vinyl bar filled with young patrons. As she discreetly observes her surroundings, a man approaches her. Their conversation flows naturally and what begins as spontaneous flirtation quickly deepens into an exploration of their pasts and unspoken understandings. As they dance to the music in the bar, their chemistry intensifies. However, the mood shifts when the woman is suddenly reminded of her own vulnerabilities and sobering reality. Overwhelmed, she abruptly leaves the bar. Outside, it's revealed that the woman, Song Lian, and the man already know each other. The man is a professional "dispeller" hired by Song Lian to help with her marital problems. Song Lian's husband has a young mistress, and the dispeller’s job is to intervene. Despite the professional nature of their relationship, an unexpected intimacy develops between them. What began as role play becomes a mirror to their own regrets, loneliness, and surprising companionship. As they stand together, observing the bustling city, they find solace in each other’s company, uncertain yet hopeful about their future.
