SYNOPSIS

[EN] On her way to the airport, Marija stops at a senior home to say goodbye to her mother Petra. She arrives to find Petra staging a dramatic protest, pretending to be dead by refusing food, drink, and even keeping her eyes closed. Though frustrated and aware that it’s another of Petra's manipulative acts, Marija decides to cancel her trip and brings her home. The night they spend together Marija tends to Petra, bathing her and changing her clothes, all while Petra drifts between lucidity and an almost childlike state. As dawn approaches, Marija feels a newfound resolve to stay close, only to awaken and find that Petra has slipped away.
