SYNOPSIS

[EN] The Seed of Water narrates the recovery of the Arab irrigation channels in the region of La Vera, Cáceres. Through the ancestral practice of water sowing and harvesting, volunteers and local inhabitants restore these water management techniques. The documentary shows how capturing rainwater and meltwater on the slopes through excavated channels promotes slow infiltration into the soil, preventing its rapid loss to the rivers. The restoration of the irrigation channels improves environmental sustainability, fosters biodiversity, strengthens social cohesion, and revives cultural heritage.
