[EN] 'Dadda' is a darkly comedic & absurd tale about Jacob, a once hot-shot director turned full-time father, who grapples with insecurity when his wife, Sophia, is awarded her first-time film deal. Jacob’s insecurity manifests into reality when he wakes up one day and sees his hands have inexplicably shrunk. Driven by desperation to regain their size, he seeks the help of his friends and quickly slips into a world of shadowy masculinity and gory ox-blood rituals, putting his family and sanity at risk. Drawing inspiration from the rise of the men’s rights movement, the story follows an individual struggling with feelings of inadequacy, driven by societal pressures to prove his worth at any cost. This story explores what we can lose when we indulge in our insecurities and fervently pursue external validation.
