SYNOPSIS

[EN] On July 3, 1990 – when Italy lost the match with Argentina at the World Cup – Mario, a university professor, decides to focus on his work and finish writing an essay to overcome the disappointment. While writing and reflecting, he slowly slides into sleep. As soon as he wakes up, however, he discovers that he is no longer in his own time but in a dystopian future (in the years of the COVID-19 pandemic). Mario begins going through the 2020-2022 period due to time jumps that inevitably happen to him; finally, he wakes up in his original time. The discrepancy between Mario's feelings and the changed feelings of the "inhabitants of the future" causes a sense of bewilderment in the character (and in the spectators who identify with him), which will sometimes lead to horror and sometimes to estrangement.
