SYNOPSIS

[EN] Min, a Korean-American single mother, struggles to navigate suburban American life. When her son Noah announces Picture Day and wants to wear a dress, Min misunderstands the concept. Believing it’s a drawing field trip, she sends Noah to school with a box of crayons and a dress hastily crammed in his pants. Later, Min realizes her mistake when Noah comes home with school photos proudly showing him in the dress, standing out from his well-groomed classmates. Min’s more assimilated sisters, Yuna and Jean, tease her and push for a retake, but Min hopes to redeem herself by defending Noah's choice. Arriving at the school, her sisters interrupt, speaking in broken English, and Min attempts to explain herself, also stumbling over the language. Frustrated, she takes Noah and leaves. With no plan, they arrive at the beach, where Noah plays, and Min, instead of feeling like a failure, embraces the moment, finding solace in her connection with her son.
