SYNOPSIS

[EN] When I set out to create 'The Box' I wanted to make a short film that was fun, entertaining and come the end it would leave you buzzing! Too many shorts these days drum home heavy themes, and maybe that's the world we live in - for me, if I can make you laugh then that's awesome. What I love about 'The Box' is its simplicity - two characters in one location that forces them to deal with a very specific moment in time which will either make them or break them. From the very beginning the vision has always been clear. I knew that we'd create this dark, yet vibrant and mysterious world that leaves the audience guessing "what the hell is going on?!". And come the ending, that same feeling should persist, in a good way. I'm beyond proud of what the team created, we had the luxury and time to create a visually stunning piece due to the containment of the film. It was up close and personal, for some more than others - but we had an incredible time and it really hit home why we do this, to have fun and tell stories!
