SYNOPSIS

[EN] TO BE A WOMAN is a bilingual short film about a working-class Bengali mother-daughter duo who live in Queens, New York. Despite their loving relationship, the two clash about how women should operate in a patriarchal society. Roshni and Sohini only have each other, but can they reconcile their relationship given their polar opposite world views, or will they find a different path, separately?
