SYNOPSIS

On the night of May 24, 1871, as the brutal crackdown on the Paris Commune insurgents reaches its height, a wounded Versailles soldier, bleeding from his left side, seeks refuge in a church. Haunted by the horrors of the recent war against Prussia and shaken by the turmoil tearing the country apart, he begins to rage at God, blaming Him for all of humanity’s suffering. But he doesn’t realize that, hidden in the shadows, a mysterious stranger is listening intently.
