SYNOPSIS

The children of austere Catholic-run orphanages have too often been left out of Irish history. Many of these children were left unnamed, unattended and unloved. The events of this film are based on the true story of a boy who found a loving family outside of the rules and restrictions of the Catholic Church. Although not always with him, they had a clear impact on the rest of his life. This story is based on the experiences of the writer Heather O'Sullivan's Father Kevin (ex editor of the Irish Times Newspaper) and his foster brother Peter.
