Under the warm sunlight of Silicon Valley, California, there stood a house covered in lush greenery, where a software engineer from Taiwan had made his home. He had been living in the United States for nearly thirty years. What does it feel like to be away from your homeland for so long, to live alone in a foreign country? Especially after experiencing the Covid-19 pandemic and working remotely from home, what kind of life unfolds when one works alone, lives alone? This short documentary, told from the perspective of the director, the engineer niece, observes his daily life, his moods, and his nineteen very special friends: the feral cats who visit him every day. Together, they weave a life that is simple, peaceful, yet uniquely extraordinary.
