SYNOPSIS

Erosion portrays the confrontation of successive losses experienced by three women, whose distinct yet interwoven trajectories unfold amid the ruins of Atafona, a Brazilian coastal city slowly vanishing, claimed by an ongoing process of erosion that has already swept hundreds of homes into the sea. Like mirrors reflecting one another or metaphors in dialogue, the film evokes the erosion of a landscape that is also a repository of memories and affections. It summons the feminine as a sensitive and resonant force in the face of collapse - intimate, historical, and perhaps still reversible.
