SYNOPSIS

A middle-aged man appears against the backdrop of a majestic HongKong then appears again in a tofu workshop. As night falls, the scene shifts to the workshop’s back alley, revealing a figure identical to the tofu maker—caught in a tense standoff with police demanding his ID. Panic-stricken, the figure is overwhelmed by fleeting memories of fear. Around HongKong, the two men hold identification signs, questioning their status. Flashbacks unfold, exposing the father-son relationship and the father’s 30-year history as a refugee in Hong Kong, blending intimate relations with the raw, gritty reality of survival on the fringes of society.
