SYNOPSIS

When Lily catches her classmates cheating, she slips a note to her teacher — who is also her mother. The act brands her a “snitch,” making her both guilty and afraid. At home, her mother insists that doing the right thing should never be feared. At school, however, Lily faces isolation, suspicion, and the temptation to lie. Torn between her mother’s moral teachings and the pressure to belong, Lily confesses to cheating herself, only to find both punishment and fleeting acceptance. The Snitch is a tender, semi-autobiographical coming-of-age story about the cost of honesty, the contradictions of childhood, and the quiet confusion of growing up.
