SYNOPSIS

In a France scarcely different from our own, the State has stripped part of its citizens of their nationality, replacing it with a fragile residence permit. Turned into foreigners in their own country, they must now submit to a yearly, unsettling examination that will determine whether their permit is renewed… or whether they are expelled.
