SYNOPSIS

A life-affirming short documentary telling the deeply personal story of a girl from the Warsaw Ghetto — and at the same time, a historical portrait of a strong woman of the 20th century: Wiktoria Śliwowska. How can a life that began with a terrible ordeal in the Warsaw ghetto and the murder of her mother become a happy biography full of love and adventure? How do you maintain your zest for life and optimism when you run out of food, lose your job or are sent away from your beloved city into the unknown? How can you not go crazy when the only thing that counts at university instead of history and literature is the cult of the totalitarian leader?
