Short: Thousands of people travel along Interstate 10 to watch the Total Solar Eclipse which is moving across North America. On the same road, Adones, a 26 year old engineer, drives from Dallas to New Mexico, to legally access abortion care. Long: The Total Solar eclipse casts a huge shadow over big portions of North America, and hundreds of thousands of people travel along interstate roads to see it. Adones, an engineer and poet, drives for ten hours to reach an abortion clinic in New Mexico, the only legal way she can currently receive care. Cast in a political shadow of her own, she takes us through her experience. In this graduation film, filmmaker Tatiana Stark weaves together observational footage from multiple happenings along Interstate roads. A pastor visits a town in an attempt to pass an ordinance cracking down on what he calls “abortion traffickers” travelling out of state. Another town prepares for the incoming eclipse, and just across the border, women from Texas arrive at the Women’s Reproductive Centre.
