SYNOPSIS

In the sweltering kitchen of a small Chinese restaurant in California, Lin, a middle-aged immigrant cook, who left his family for his family, moves with the precision of someone who’s spent decades in the same space. The clang of woks and hiss of oil mark the rhythm of his days, but outside the kitchen walls, tensions rise as anti-Asian hostility simmers in the community. When a violent incident disrupts the fragile balance of his work and home life, Lin is forced to confront the unspoken sacrifices that have defined his existence.
