SYNOPSIS

Called back to the hospital frontline during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, retired veteran doctor Ruth faces a brutal night shift filled with relentless emergencies, dwindling resources, and mounting death tolls. Detached and clinical in her approach, she performs CPR, delivers devastating news with cold efficiency, and suppresses any emotional response. As the night wears on, cracks begin to form in Ruth's cool exterior. The anguish of desperate patients, the grief of loved ones, and the emotional breakdown of her colleagues all chip away at her hardened resolve. Eventually, when forced to confront her own humanity at a pivotal moment during the night shift, Ruth finds herself at a crossroads between medical protocol, compassion, and empathy.
