SYNOPSIS

Joseph, a young fisherman from Brittany, bumps into Rita for the first time since their summer fling. Rita is working on a theatrical adaptation of the letters of Abelard and Heloise, the legendary medieval lovers. Attracted to her but terrified of being impotent, Joseph begins to blur the line between his own life and Abelard, the castrated monk of the 12th century.
