SYNOPSIS

We live in a world of smart devices and intelligent technology, each powered by computer chips. Yet most people - whether children, teenagers, or adults - have no real understanding of what happens inside these machines. What does a computer actually do when it performs calculations? In a groundbreaking experiment, over 100 students at Hamburg's Winterhuder Reform School are exploring this question through a unique re-enactment: they become the microscopic components of a computer chip, performing the process of data computation at human scale.
