SYNOPSIS

After the death of her daughter, Yin Yin retreats from city life and seeks refuge in a secluded house on the Tibetan plateau, all while enduring the slow torment of her illness. Still, she meticulously maintains a sense of order in the house. By burning daily incense, setting the table for two, and tuning in to Tibetan radio broadcasts, she builds a ritualized sanctuary to shield her inner world. But a phone call shatters her tranquil life. As she finally decides to bid farewell to this land, she gets trapped in a strange loop: she repeatedly encounters a mysterious woman who collects stones. In the end, Yin Yin hangs a painted wooden box containing her daughter’s belongings on the Divine Tree. But when she returns to the house, a sudden knock breaks the silence. She opens the door to find an empty, dust-covered room—everything she had so carefully maintained now vanished, as if it had never been there at all.
