SYNOPSIS

Ever since he was a child, Liang Chih-Yuan only wanted to escape—from the pineapple fields that caked his feet in mud and left his hands full of cuts. He thought studying was pointless. That rural life had no future. Until one day, his father collapsed in the fields, working himself to the brink just to keep the family afloat. That night, the whole family wept in silence. And for the first time, Chih-Yuan understood— He wasn’t trapped. He just hadn’t grown up yet.
