SYNOPSIS

Lana, a shy yet fearless teenager, runs away from home to attend her first party. She hitches a ride with a group of young people, but the car breaks down along the way. Lana continues on foot, walking into the night toward the party. When she finally arrives, the place is empty — the event is already over. The short film Drunken Car is set in the city of Garibaldi, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, during the 2000s. The project centers on Lana’s discovery of her own sexuality. It’s a story about desire. It’s also a tale of putting oneself in danger, taking risks, and exploring personal boundaries. The film unfolds as a poetic reflection on a specific moment — a rite of passage intrinsic to adolescence.
