SYNOPSIS

The Wanderer is a tragicomic story about young adult Daantje, who retreats into a remote forest to escape the overwhelming pressure of social expectations. As an inexperienced city dweller, he quickly realizes that the solitude of nature offers him less freedom than he had hoped for. Instead of peace, he experiences a growing sense of fear, especially when he starts to suspect he is not alone. Daantje feels himself shrinking in the vastness of the forest, and his longing for a way out grows stronger. But where will it ultimately lead him?
