SYNOPSIS

The Hero's Choice is a fictional short film that humorously and ironically questions the importance of choosing the main character in the film industry. The narrator first introduces Mr. X, an undocumented Pakistani worker in France. A man whose moving and complex story could have been the subject of a film, but it is not. He also mentions society's forgotten workers, like delivery drivers, cashiers, or healthcare workers—those invisible ghosts of oblivion who could have also been the focus of this story. However, in an industry driven by commercial interests, the narrator realizes that a film about these lower-class individuals does not sell. Therefore, he ironically and mischievously decides to become the hero of this story himself. After all, who doesn't like to talk about themselves? Charming, flawed, and terribly narcissistic, he humorously takes us on a quirky self-reflection, imagining himself as a figure worthy of being bought by Elon Musk.
