SYNOPSIS
From the empty carcasses of post industrial France, a new city came into existence. This city was made up of people who required an extra degree of imagination, resourcefulness and cultural identity in which to create lives that fulfilled the same universal components we all require to call a place a home. Les Fabricants is a short film that captures a city in transition, from the communities that reclaimed it from an industrial vacuum, to the people who have discovered it as a place to realise their creative aspirations, to the inevitable regeneration that we now see forever transforming pieces of its infrastructure into a landscape of the future. This film will be a motion painting with a veritable soundscape of voices, music, mechanics and nature, that portrays a brief and unique moment in modern urban history, delicately unveiling the humanity, nature and infrastructure that fabricate the soul of a city.
