SYNOPSIS

Thévy, thirteen years old, is ashamed of her Cambodian origins and of her mother, an exhausted and self-effacing cook. The schoolgirl dreams of becoming a star with skin as white as her idols. To do this, she uses a lightening cream which destroys her skin and her self-esteem every day.
