SYNOPSIS

A town under siege. A government in crisis. One woman blessed with the power of God who can save them all. As a filmmaker, I am interested in creating films that explore the grey spaces between reality and perception; good and evil; film, theatre, art and sound. I love creating three dimensional female characters that challenge the mainstream depiction of women as virtuous, vacuous or victimised. My first narrative short, ‘Judith’ retells the bible story in Judith's own words, and explores why seducing and murdering a man might be the right thing to do. An Artemisia Gentileschi painting brought to life; at once in the present and in the past, Judith tells her story for the audience to make their own judgments of her.
