SYNOPSIS

LOCKED PICTURE. SOUND MIX, FINAL GFX & COLOR CORRECTION SCHEDULED WEEK OF OCTOBER 7-21. Space Architect Constance Adams was a renegade in her field, solving complex problems in entirely new ways, always beginning with the question: What do humans truly need? As a Space Architect contracted to design Mars habitats for NASA, her unorthodox solutions were often transformative for the teams she worked with. Diagnosed with terminal cancer, she's inspired to write The Mothership Project: A Blueprint for Climate Adaptation, using concepts she learned at NASA to help us adapt to climate change here on Earth. In this, her last interview, she shares her thoughts with her college classmate Rebecca Carpenter. A meditation on and celebration of human creativity and resilience, it's a master class in architecture, the privilege of being born human on planet Earth, and the challenges of confronting death.
