SYNOPSIS
Ålarvet is an innovative film blending fiction and documentary to explore the relationship between reality, fantasy, and film as a medium. The first part, a black-and-white 16 mm film, follows a fisherman on Skåne's eel coast after the 2007 eel fishing ban, capturing his daily routines. The second part is a digitally shot documentary, following a photographer documenting the present-day coast. Together, these parts examine how different cinematic forms shape our understanding of the world.
