Giacomo comes back to his town of origin for the memorial of his murdered brother Pietro after many years. He finds himself in a broken community that neglects the murder and struggles with its daily life because of the recurrent rockslides hitting the town. In such a problematic scenario, Giacomo tries to understand. He meets his family and his brother's ex-wife who will give him some information about the investigations and who will try to help him understand more about the circumstances of the assassination. However, the answers struggle to surface and tensions start to rise. Giacomo meets the former lover of his brother who reveals to him the reason he was killed was that he was gay. At this point, the villagers and even his family refuse to meet him again. Giacomo goes to the memorial and pronounces a speech where he accuses the community to be guilty of his brother’s assassination. They feel attacked and ban him from the village forever.
