SYNOPSIS

The Mirror of Princes, is the personal Divine Comedy of director Rubens Francesco Giusberti, a short film that depicts a fresco of contemporary reality. The work addresses universal themes and philosophical-existential questions related to mankind, using symbolic language and images captured from different parts of the world. The short begins as an anthropological documentary, later adopting different styles and transforming into an original, dreamlike film. This atmosphere is heightened by the arrival of the "Uninvited Guest," a character not invited to the "Party of the World."   The film is divided into three chapters, each referencing specific Canti from The Divine Comedy, connected respectively to Dante’s Hell, Purgatory, and Paradise.
