SYNOPSIS

Happy is an allegory about the pains of depression and the fear of coming out. It highlights the challenges that the lead character Jason faces when dealing with extreme depression and the pressures that correspond in a heteronormative culture. He lives the classic white-picket-fence lifestyle with his wife Sarah, while at the same time attempting to live his true self as a gay man with his boyfriend Anthony. The more he clings to conventional happiness, the more his real happiness begins to slip.
