In 1974, a group of 200 women was transferred in buses from the Padre Jofré psychiatric hospital, known as the asylum of Jesús, to the new Bétera psychiatric hospital (Valencia). Many of them had been locked up in Jesús for over 30 years and arrived at Bétera without a clinical history, some even without a name. This story wants to take care of the memory of these women and the professional workers who looked after them, with the intention of restoring a part of their lost dignity and, in some cases, their own name.
