SYNOPSIS

Mia visits her father Lars in the lonely family home in the country over Christmas. The usual exuberant Christmas spirit is lacking, however. After all, Mia's mother passed away a few weeks ago. Her death leaves the daughter with deep-seated grief, which she tries to cope with by reminiscing about childhood memories. But when her father repeatedly and obviously represses her mother's death, a conflict arises in the little house amongst the trees.
