SYNOPSIS

Part documentary, part poetic essay, ‘Caravane’ offers a portrait of the young immigrant community of a working class neighbourhood in French Canada going through language-integration at school. Through a hybrid form of documentary, fiction and poetic wise-en-scène, the film presents a series of tableaux that highlight the human element of those that are otherwise othered, transgressing our complex socio-political reality.
