SYNOPSIS
1914: Amelie (20) grows up surrounded by high peaks in a secluded Austrian mountain village. She builds her own airplane and dreams of one day flying it to Berlin and study at a flight school. However, her father Josef (55) considers this a pointless wish; his plan for Amelie is for her to take over the family's sewing business later. Levente (35) regularly brings the mail with his airplane and supports her endeavors. She entrusts him with her application letters to flight schools. While her parents and childhood friend Alois (21), envision a safe and traditional life for her, Amelie completes her airplane. Additionally, she receives an acceptance letter from Melli Beese Flight School in Berlin. When she informs her father of the news, he reacts angrily and destroys the engine of her airplane, believing this will deter her from her plans. Amelie faces a difficult decision: either she lives her life as planned by others and remains unhappy, or she risks everything to pursue her own path and fulfill her dreams. Determined, she secretly repairs the damaged engine, bids farewell to her old life, and flies to Berlin, ready to attain her freedom and make her dreams come true.
