SYNOPSIS

Les Capricieux is a futuristic animated short based on drawings by artist Dimitri Autin. The film begins as a dystopia and gradually takes us into a heterotopia. In the Silent society, the birth cry has disappeared, sugges- ting the population’s inability to revolt against the policies in place. Babies who still utter their birth cry are deported to the island of Caprice, where they are known as Capricieux. More or less left to their own devices, they have rebuilt a society that’s just like them.
