SYNOPSIS

Artists on the emerging international contemporary art scene and independent curators, Maéva and Arnaud, who form the Grapain collective, are interested in fictional and dystopian narratives. Their reflections tend to give rise to new ecosystems where destruction begets construction. "Sans Soleil" questions the end and beginning of a new era, a pyrocene era. The artists depict a speculative future for planet Earth, emptied of all traces of life. The film is also an observation, a contemplation of our own chaos and collapse.
