SYNOPSIS

A 27-year-old Chinese gay man grapples with the complexities of identity and societal expectations as he reluctantly journeys back to his hometown for the Qingming Festival. Burdened by a paralyzing fear of chickens, he confronts an unsettling ultimatum: to slaughter one as the family's only son. Meanwhile, the pressure to conform to traditional family values intensifies, with his relatives blissfully unaware of his true sexual orientation, persistently pushing him towards marriage and parenthood.
