SYNOPSIS

February 25, 1830. Théâtre-Français (Paris). Fifteen minutes before the curtain-raiser, Victor Hugo paces, nervously. With his play "Hernani", presented to the public for the first time, the young author hopes to upset the codes of literature and theater.
