SYNOPSIS

Blasting Off is a data visualization art film that shows every rocket launch globally since 1957. A unique mix of historical data and contemporary mission trajectory simulations, the animation presents the 20th Century ‘space race’ of over 5,000 rockets that have left our atmosphere into space as a poetic ballet of competition and exploration.
