SYNOPSIS

One sweaty Australian summer, two girls skate from Sydney to Parliament House in an emission-less climate change protest. Yet, as the girls are physically tested by the Australian outback, their ideals face tensions with the reality of survival. In a world of ideological paradoxes, 'The Overthrow' explores the complexities of the climate crisis through a coming of age story of female friendship.
