SYNOPSIS

It’s the end of the 1980s, in a provincial town in communist Romania. Ioana, a 13 y.o. student, ends up in the school’s medical office regarding a tummy ache, to find out from the nurse she has her first period. Without receiving any empathy from the adults around, she gets sent home and tries to cope with the event.
