SYNOPSIS

Dancing In A Forbidden World is a story set in the 1940s about a young Chinese American girl that reluctantly joins an infamous asian night club to make money and ends up falling in love with the world of performance and dance. It is heavily inspired by the real life Forbidden City club that was open in San Francisco from the 1930s to the 1970s, which featured Asian performers.
